You will be supporting our team in the procurement of Direct Materials related to rotors manufacturing. You will manage the buying process for a given set of goods. You apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications. You impact quality of own work and the work of others.
Job Description
What you will do:
Place, track, and manage Purchase Orders end-to-end in SAP, ensuring on-time delivery and accurate documentation including invoices, packing lists, and quality certificates
Build and maintain strong working relationships with direct materials suppliers and subcontractors — confirming order receipts, monitoring production status, and managing schedule changes proactively
Serve as the primary interface between GE Vernova and its supplier base, supporting suppliers with procurement tools including ClearOrbit, Supplier Connect, and Ariba
Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, and Material Planning teams to communicate delivery timelines, resolve deviations, and manage non-standard processes
Apply GE Vernova sourcing policies consistently and contribute to factory and corporate initiatives aimed at improving procurement productivity
What you will bring (basic qualifications):
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience in a procurement or supply chain role
Proven experience in direct materials procurement and subcontracting activities in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency in SAP (Materials Management module or equivalent) and Microsoft Office
Very good command of both German and English (written and spoken) — both are essential for daily supplier and internal communication
