Maintenance Technician

ROLE SYNOPSIS

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for managing and coordinating planning and scheduling, safety-critical equipment (SCE) testing, vendor payments and purchase orders, special projects, and construction oversight.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Follow all qualified unit and company rules, guidelines, and health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) practices and procedures.

• Serve as the bpx representative for construction and project activities.

• Ensure completion of mechanical integrity and SCE inspections, and oversee or perform preventive maintenance within the identified timeframe.

• Manage budgets and ensure cost efficiency for all aspects of work completed within the team.

• Promote a culture of reliability and continuous improvement.

• Identify all risks associated with assigned work before execution.

• Support the development of maintenance plans and projects, including work pack development.

• Identify improvement opportunities and perform basic defect elimination in the day-to-day execution of work.

• Complete all work, especially regulatory compliance work and SCE preventive maintenance, as planned.

• Record pertinent work order information daily, including failure reporting, improvements, time, requests for master data changes, and lessons learned.

• Interpret technical drawings.

• Comply with BP's Code of Conduct and model BP's Values and Behaviors'.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

• 3+ years of comparable oil and gas experience.

• Basic computer skills required, including experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and Monday.com.

• SAP experience is a strong plus.

• Experience managing contractors and overseeing construction activities.

• Ability to test and troubleshoot instrumentation.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings.

LOCATION

Haynesville asset area, Shreveport, LA

SCHEDULE

• Monday-Friday schedule, 8-hour days.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base Pay

$101,000 - $137,000 USD annually

Note that the pay range listed for this position is a good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting.
