Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) is looking for an Experienced Quality Production Specialist to support the Flight Test based out of North Charleston, South Carolina.

 

As a Quality Production Specialist supporting Boeing 787 Flight Test program, qualified candidates will verify and inspect routine final component installation, as well as support system operational functional validation testing. Quality Production Specialist verify and inspect rework, modification, maintenance, preflight and post-flight checks for aircraft under flight test control, including supporting troubleshooting pre and post-flight checks and verification of maintenance and modification actions for test aircraft.  They will also control and maintain Red Label parts by receiving and shipping of Red Label Assemblies. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to aircraft safety and quality while working in a flight line environment around live aircraft.

 

Travel: This position will require some travel up to 50% of the time.

 

Position Responsibilities:

 

• Performs verification and inspection of flight component installation and operational functional testing of aircraft systems
• Inspects and verifies troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and avionics systems to isolate mechanical and/or faults and documents faulty components
• Conducts inspection of pre-flight and post-flight checks and performs inspections of maintenance and modification prior to delivery
• Supports documentation of identified problems during operation and testing of deliverable products
• Verifies the accuracy of work performed
• Maintains Red Label tracking shipping and receiving
• Participates in determining details of assignments to accomplish a wide range of objectives
• Inspects, documents, and creates non-conformance records with minimal assistance
• Must maintain all necessary certifications to perform the job
• Exhibits Boeing behaviors

 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

 

• To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
• 3+ years of experience in quality inspection and/or auditing
• 3+ years of experience with flight line operations
• 3+ years of experience multi-tasking and working in a team environment
• 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Able to work any shift based on the needs of the operation
• Willing and able to travel both domestically and internationally 50% of the time

 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

 

• FAA Airframe & Power Plant license or signed FAA Form 8610-2
• 787 Program Experience
• Foreign Object Debris (FOD) risk experience
• Team Leadership (Formal/Informal) experience
• Proficient in REDARS, PSDS, and BAC specifications
• Proficient in all forms of NCR (Non-Conformance Record) and EPD (Emergent Process Document) generation (NC/NCR/RGEN/PU/SAT/SRR/PU or RGEN Revision etc.)

Summary Pay Range for Experienced Level (Level 3):  $89,250 – $120,750
