Lead DevOps Engineer, ITC

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH 

You will be part of the Finance & Procurement team and report to the Engineering Manager. On a daily basis, you will collaborate with peer software engineers, product managers, and principal engineers on product teams to achieve business objectives. Additionally, you will also engage with other teams to align on common business and team goals.  

We are seeking an ambitious devOps Lead Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. You’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining these applications, ensuring seamless and scalable experiences for users. You will play a critical role in building robust features, maintaining system performance, and collaborating across teams to deliver high-quality cloud native software solutions.

Skillset Required 

• 7-10 years of experience in software development, with a strong foundation in distributed microservice architecture, domain driven design and Restful services. 
• Proven ability to deliver high-impact, API-first services at scale. 
• Experience building end to end CI/CD pipeline to build, test and deploy to different AWS environments such as lambda, EC2, ECS , EKS etc 
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Node Js, Java and SQL 
• Nice to have experience in UI like React or similar frameworks. 
• Familiar with GitHub, JIRA, Jenkins, Confluence 
• Demonstrated expertise in Terraform, CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code operation 
• Hands-on development experiences with either tool like VS Code, Cursor, GitHub Co-Pilot  
• Nice to have some experience on AI & ML 
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills. 
• Proven track record in working with fast-paced, results-oriented environment which has globally distributed and diverse teams 
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both Product and Technical teams 
• Experience with monitoring and tracing tools like Splunk, SignalFx 
• Keen to explore new technologies and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with ambiguity 

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON 

• Implement best practices to design, develop, build, test, and maintain applications and micro services across the full stack, data governance, and platform observability 
• Lead and contribute to architectural decisions, technical strategy, and feature planning 
• Work closely with product managers, principal engineers, and other engineers to define requirements, technical specifications, and deliver quality software. 
• Explain designs and constraints to technical teams, gather alignment and buy-in 
• Ensure solutions are designed and developed using a scalable, highly resilient cloud native architecture 
• Front-End Development: Design, implement dynamic, responsive, and user-friendly web interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks (React). 
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices 
• Design and implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend services using technologies like Node.js or Python or Java. 
• Develop NoSQL databases, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval. 
• Design, develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, performance tests and maintain high code quality standards using tools such as JMeter, Mocha or similar. 
• Performance Optimization: Identify and fix performance bottlenecks across the full stack, ensuring high availability and responsiveness. 
• Integrate with and maintain continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for seamless software delivery. 
• Participate in agile methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, refinement and retrospectives. 
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to your teammates and develop a team environment that promotes collaboration and innovation 
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback. 
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving production issues. 
• Develop artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions tailored to specific use cases.
