What you will do:

Technical Expertise

●      Demonstrated expertise in flow chemistry process development, including reaction screening, optimization, troubleshooting, and scale-up from laboratory to pilot or manufacturing scale.

●      Proven experience in evaluating batch versus flow processing strategies and identifying opportunities where continuous flow technologies provide advantages in safety, scalability, efficiency, or product quality.

●      Strong understanding of reaction engineering principles, including mixing, heat and mass transfer, residence time distribution, pressure control, and flow reactor design.

●      Hands-on experience with the development of flow-based processes for challenging or hazardous chemistries, such as highly exothermic reactions, unstable intermediates, organometallic reactions, azide chemistry, nitration, hydrogenation, or other safety-critical transformations.

●      Experience in translating early-stage flow chemistry concepts into robust and scalable manufacturing processes.

Scale-up & Manufacturing

●      Demonstrated experience in flow process scale-up, including throughput optimization, continuous operation, and technology transfer to pilot plant or GMP manufacturing environments.

●      Ability to evaluate process economics, manufacturability, and operational risks when developing continuous processing strategies.

Equipment & Technology

●      Practical experience with commercially available flow chemistry platforms (e.g., Vapourtec, Corning, Chemtrix, Syrris, Ehrfeld, or equivalent).

●      Familiarity with process analytical technologies (PAT) and inline/online analytical tools such as FTIR, Raman, UV, HPLC, or related monitoring systems is highly desirable.

Leadership & Scientific Contribution

●      Recognized subject matter expert (SME) in flow chemistry with a track record of delivering innovative solutions to complex synthetic and process development challenges.

●      Ability to provide technical leadership, mentor scientists, and promote adoption of flow chemistry technologies across development programs.

●      Strong capability to engage with customers and project teams to define flow chemistry strategies and assess scalability at an early stage of development.

What we are looking for:

●      Master’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant industry experience, in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.

●      Has years of experience in flow chemistry, with proven expertise in process development and optimization.

●      Proficient in the use of instrumental analytical skills, including HPLC, GC and headspace, auto-titrator, mass spectrometer, NMR spectrometer, etc.

●      Ability to summarize, analyze and report data.

●      Efficient experimental design capabilities.

●      Project management skills.

●      Customer communication skills.
