Description

Join a Growing Organization Committed to Clinical Excellence!

We are seeking an experienced Director of Hygiene Operations to support and strengthen our hygiene teams across a rapidly growing network of dental practices. This is a highly collaborative, field-based leadership role that serves as the operational bridge between our hygiene teams and field leadership. Working in close partnership with the Clinical Support Team, Regional Vice Presidents, and Operations leadership, the Director of Hygiene Operations will help ensure the consistent execution of established clinical standards, workflows, and best practices across the organization.

While the primary focus of this role is supporting the organization through collaboration, communication, and field engagement, the Director will also provide clinical hygiene coverage from time to time. This allows the Director to remain actively engaged in patient care, maintain clinical proficiency, and stay closely connected to the day-to-day realities of our practices. The ideal candidate is an experienced dental hygiene professional who enjoys building relationships, staying connected with teams, following through on initiatives, and helping practices succeed through organization, communication, and accountability.

Location: Northeast Region (Extensive Travel Required)
Reports To: Executive Vice President
Salary Range: $130,000–$180,000 annually + performance bonus eligibility

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the primary liaison and resource for hygienists across multiple states.
  • Partner closely with the Clinical Support Team, Regional Vice Presidents, and Operations leadership to support and implement hygiene initiatives and organizational priorities.
  • Maintain regular communication with hygiene teams, providing guidance, answering questions, and ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Visit practices regularly to observe workflows, reinforce established best practices, and provide hands-on support.
  • Monitor consistency of hygiene protocols, clinical workflows, standard operating procedures, and organizational expectations across all locations.
  • Support the onboarding and integration of hygienists into organizational standards and workflows.
  • Participate in clinical observations, office visits, and hygiene audits while partnering with local leadership to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure follow-through.
  • Coordinate communication between hygiene teams and corporate support departments to ensure alignment and consistency.
  • Track organizational initiatives and action items to ensure projects are implemented effectively and completed on time.
  • Assist in the development and distribution of educational resources, reference materials, and communications that support hygiene teams.
  • Provide clinical hygiene coverage on an as-needed basis to support practices, maintain clinical proficiency, and remain connected to patient care and office operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, infection control standards, and clinical best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Licensed Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) in good standing with the ability and willingness to provide clinical hygiene services on an as-needed basis.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 7–10+ years of progressive dental hygiene experience, including experience supporting multiple locations or leading teams within a multi-site dental organization.
  • Strong understanding of clinical hygiene workflows, preventive dentistry, infection control, and operational best practices.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with clinicians, office leadership, and executive teams.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the organization's network of practices.

OUR BENEFITS:

  • Generous Compensation: We invest in the best and are competitive in our salary offers.
  • Flexible Health and Vision Insurance Plans: Tailored options for you and your family's well-being.
  • 401(K) Retirement Plan with Matching: Secure your financial future with our employer-matched plan.
  • Generous Paid-Time Off: Accrue up to 3 weeks, plus an annual "you" day for self-care.
  • Exclusive In-house Dental Program: Heavily discounted services for you and your immediate family.
  • Extra Perks and Fringe Benefits: Enjoy additional benefits and ongoing perks for our dedicated teams.
  • A collaborative leadership team committed to clinical excellence, operational consistency, and continuous improvement.
