The opportunity
The internal capability lead MTS is responsible for building, internalizing, and scaling a new operating model for high voltage switchgear that enables sustainable growth in a rapidly expanding market.
In the first phase, the role partners closely with an external consulting company that is driving to redesign the business execution model. As a key member in the transformational team, the role requires local presence in the concerned Operating Units and Feeder Factories during time of the execution. You will build further competence to support the execution that is planned to be done in staggered waves.
In the second phase, we will ramp-down the engagement of the external consultant and the internal capability lead will put the learned know-how in action and he/she will apply built competence by scaling across all Hitachi Energy switchgear factories with the local teams.
In the third phase you will evolve into the global subject matter expert and become governance and process owner for the new operating model.
Through-out the phases you will closely work with the fit for growth program to establish the process and tool framework to drive for organizational sustainability and backbone creation of the new business model

Act as internal co-lead to the external consulting team during local execution
Actively participate in the local implementation waves
Execute analytics across the workstream and develop scalable methods
Proactively drive for risk management and manage roadblocks
Translate consulting concepts into practical, repeatable and sustainable internal solutions
Once know-how is matured, lead local implementation waves
Provide input to global processes and tools and drive for harmonization
Become key internal authority in the global subject matter expert community
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or Business Administration
10+ years of experience in operations or supply chain in complex value chain setups
Strong exposure to Engineer-to-Order or Make-to-Order business models
Willingness to re-allocate temporarily to different countries across the regions
Ability to work effectively alongside external consultants
Experience in transformational projects and change management is preferred
Experience with standardization, modularization is preferred
Exposure to global roll-out across multiple factories or product lines is preferred
Required good communication skills and a team player
