POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Modular Permitting Coordinator is responsible for managing regulatory compliance and jurisdictional approval for factory-built modular data center assemblies, ensuring seamless transit and site integration.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Align production milestones with local municipal code requirements and state building approvals.
- Interface with engineering, quality, production, logistics, product management, project management, and field execution teams to verify documentation accuracy.
- Maintain compliance records, tracking logs, and agency correspondence in enterprise resource platforms.
- Strong, writing, verbal, organizational and communication skills; using such skills with various levels of management, customers, other employees and external stakeholders.
- The ability to work under minimal supervision daily.
- Ability to apply common sense, understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral.
- Any other tasks as assigned by TAS.
JOB SKILLS:
- Deep understanding oof state regulations, permit requirements, and regional building codes or knowledge of how to retrieve such information.
- Mastery of compliance tracking software, engineering change notices, submittal packages for jurisdictional approval.
- Skill in bridging technical language between TAS employees from multiple departments and municipal inspectors.
EDUCATION & TRAINING:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Constriction Management preferred
- 3-5 years’ experience in modular permitting preferred
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in modular construction and state compliance programs.
- Knowledge of state and regional transportation or building regulatory frameworks
- Strong communication skills to liaise with external officials and internal stakeholders.
- Creation of purchase requisitions.
- Proficient in using ERP tools, specialized state permit portals and customer portals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Sheets
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Coursework or certification in CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management or PMP)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Position is at least 70% to 85% at a desk working with computer. Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Performs other physical activities including use of fingers, sitting, stooping, bending, crouching, talking, hearing, and performing repetitive motions. Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision necessary to prepare and analyze data and figures, operate a computer terminal, and conduct extensive reading. The incumbent will be subject to inside environmental conditions.
