Key Responsibilities
Data Engineering & Development
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
- Build and optimize data integration workflows from multiple source systems.
- Develop data models, data marts, and data warehouse solutions.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and governance across platforms.
- Design solutions for structured and unstructured data processing.
Cloud & Big Data Technologies
- Develop and manage data solutions on cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Work with big data technologies including Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, and Kafka.
- Implement scalable and high-performance data processing frameworks.
- Optimize cloud data storage and compute resources for cost and performance.
Database & Data Warehousing
- Design and maintain SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning solutions.
- Work with enterprise data warehouses such as Snowflake, Redshift, Synapse, or BigQuery.
- Implement data partitioning, indexing, and optimization techniques.
Data Governance & Quality
- Establish and enforce data quality standards and validation processes.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alert mechanisms for data pipelines.
- Ensure compliance with data security and governance policies.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with Data Architects, Business Analysts, Data Scientists, and BI teams.
- Gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Support production deployments, incident management, and root cause analysis.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and Spark.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Synapse Analytics, or equivalent cloud technologies.
- Experience with ETL/ELT frameworks and data integration tools.
- Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
- Experience with Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Redshift, BigQuery, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of Data Lake and Lakehouse architectures.
- Experience with version control tools such as Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow or Azure Data Factory.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
