Coordinates total patient nursing care for patients, participated in patient and family teaching, and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standard for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.72hrs per pp 7a-7:30p every other weekend and rotating holidays in accordance with CBA

What you will do:
Registered Nurse, RN works in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team providing evidenced based medicine and individualized patient care. A Registered Nurse, RN is expected to facilitate all aspects of the patient visit experience.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate from a state accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license required.
- For Staff Registered Nurse positions within specialty area, prior employment experience in the appropriate clinical setting is preferred.
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS required.
CONTINUING EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Position requires RN to be familiar with hospital and department policies and procedures, accepted methods of requisitioning ancillary department service work, and familiarity with the medial staff. This knowledge is normally acquired through 1-3 months of orientation time.
- Must maintain current nursing knowledge and BLS certification and required CEU’s for relicensure.
- Articulates and demonstrates commitment to the philosophy, values, mission and vision of MGHP.
Labor & Delivery RNs shall complete NRP and ACLS within 6 months of hire and Certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) within 1 year of hire.

SUMMARY: QUALIFICATIONS: Must have current, unencumbered R.N. license to practice in the State of Michigan; level of knowledge equivalent to that ordinarily acquired through completion of a minimum of two years of college level training in nursing, BSN preferred; Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification; analytical ability to assess and evaluate patient's condition and utilize the nursing process; interpersonal skills necessary to almost constantly communicate with patients, families, medical personnel and other members of the health care team; ability to work cooperatively within the framework of the nursing team; ability to perform effectively and efficiently under pressure and stressful critical situations; ability to operate a computer.
