š»Ā About the Role
We're looking for a friendly and motivatedĀ Casual Medical ReceptionistĀ to join our welcoming front desk teams atĀ Gladstone Hospital and our private clinic at Dawson Road.
As the first point of contact, you'll play a vital role in supporting patients accessing a full range of imaging services - fromĀ X-ray, Ultrasound , CT to MRI and Interventional Procedures
Enjoy the flexibility of a casual position with varied Monday to Friday shifts between 6:30am and 6:00pm, with no weekends, making it easier to maintain a great work-life balance.
š A Day in the Life
- Greeting patients and creating a welcoming first impression
- Managing bookings, billing, and payments (Medicare, health funds, EFTPOS)
- Working closely with Medical/Surgical wards and our technical team
- Inpatient procedure and CT Injection bookings
- Coordinating with referrers and doctors for appointments and results
- Attending staff meetings and ongoing training sessions
- Maintaining compliance with workplace health & safety and company policies
š About You
You'll thrive in this role if you have:
- Previous experience in healthcare reception (Medical Imaging, Dental, Allied Health or similar) - highly regarded
- A professional, approachable, and confident communication style - in person and over the phone
- Knowledge of medical terminology or practice management systems (an advantage)
- A collaborative, proactive attitude and high integrity
- A well-presented and patient-focused approach
- Excellence in customer service delivery in order to exceed patient and referrer expectations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to show patients care, compassion, and empathy
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure patient confidentiality
- Excellent interpersonal skills to assist in building partnerships and fostering collaborative relationships across the business.
- Detailed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and focus on completing high quality work
