AI Champion & Innovation Lead

Location: Buenos Aires, Argentina (hybrid — in-office 3x/week Nuñez)
Reports to: Founder

About Rad Hires

Rad Hires is a recruiting partner that helps growing companies find exceptional talent across Latin America. We work closely with hiring teams to understand not just the role, but the culture and pace a candidate needs to thrive in.

About the company

Our client is a trade marketing agency working with many of the largest multinational brands in Argentina, with clients across Latin America as well. The team is around 40 people and operates almost entirely in-house — development, design, data, and accounts all sit under one roof. The agency has grown steadily for nearly a decade, expanding into new services and new markets, and has a track record of building its own tools early (from chatbots to QR-based solutions) whenever a client need called for it.

About the role

AI adoption at the company has happened organically — different people and different teams have picked their own tools with no shared strategy. This role exists to bring order to that: first by defining the right tools and methodology for each area of the business, then by acting as the internal driver of AI adoption company-wide.

This is not a role focused on building agents and handing them off. It's a role focused on teaching people to build their own — a hands-on internal evangelist and change manager who helps each department (commercial, tech, design, etc.) find its own version of "a lot more powerful," rather than applying a one-size-fits-all fix.

Over time (a "phase 2.0"), the role is expected to evolve toward innovation more broadly — new product and service development for the agency, informed by AI but not limited to it. This person is expected to become part of the company's inner circle of decision-makers, with a real path to a Director of AI/IT-type role as the function matures.

What you'll do

  • Assess how AI is currently being used across the agency and define the right tools and methodology per team, rather than a single blanket standard.

  • Act as a company-wide resource: help colleagues in commercial, tech, design, and data teams apply AI to their actual workflows.

  • Identify and develop an "AI champion" within each department to extend adoption beyond your own bandwidth.

  • Prioritize teaching over doing — the goal is for colleagues to be able to build and adapt their own tools, not to hand them a finished agent.

  • Automate and simplify repetitive processes where it makes sense.

  • As the role matures, spend part of your time on innovation: exploring new products or services the agency could offer, and (with growing seniority) meeting directly with clients to understand needs that could shape new offerings.

What we're looking for

  • Deep, hands-on fluency with AI tools (Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT) — measured by how intensively you use them, not years of formal experience.

  • Comfort with technical/development concepts is a plus but not a requirement — you don't need to be able to connect an agent to a database yourself.

  • Strong communication and teaching ability — you need to be able to sit with a colleague and actually walk them through building something, not just solve it for them and move on.

  • A genuinely curious, self-taught streak — this is a space with no formal degree path, so the role suits someone who has learned by doing.

Signals we love

  • Someone who gets energized by seeing "small" wins land — a colleague who built their first agent, a process that suddenly runs itself.

  • People who've hit a ceiling in a more corporate structure and are looking for a place where they can actually implement their ideas.

  • Backgrounds in agencies or consultancies tend to fit well; corporate backgrounds are welcome too, especially if the person is looking to escape a "just a number" environment.

  • Comfortable wearing a "soft skills first" hat — this role is closer to an internal evangelist than a builder in the corner.

This role may not be for you if

  • You want to build things yourself and hand them off, rather than teach others to build their own.

  • You're looking for a highly structured, defined-scope corporate career path.

  • You need the role to be client/commercial-facing from day one (it starts internal, with client contact developing later and explicitly without a sales angle).

Logistics

  • Schedule: 10 AM–6 PM, in-office (Nuñez) Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday - no in-office Fridays.

  • Language: English is a plus, not required.

  • Compensation: Competitive monthly pay in pesos Argentinos

  • Benefits: Private health coverage (prepaga), gym, all office meals covered, year-end bonus, all Argentine public holidays, 15 business days of vacation, equipment provided

  • Start date: Targeting August–September 2026.

  • Interview process: Rad Hires screening → panel round with the three founders → online psychometric assessment →  Final interview + practical/technical exercise (e.g., live problem-solving with an AI tool).
