Description
Construction Estimator – Industrial and Commercial Interiors
Location: GTA
Our client is a General Contractor delivering Construction Management services across commercial interiors and an expanding portfolio of industrial base building projects.
They are seeking an Estimator with hands-on experience in industrial construction and structural scope, combined with the ability to support interior fit-out projects when required. This role is suited to someone who understands how buildings come together from the ground up and can confidently communicate with clients throughout preconstruction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates across industrial and base building scopes, including excavation, formwork, foundations, loading docks, and precast modifications
- Review drawings and specifications to develop complete and competitive project budgets
- Solicit and level subcontractor pricing across structural and site-related trades
- Coordinate with project teams, consultants, and clients to define scope and delivery approach
- Participate in client-facing meetings and support Construction Management delivery
- Identify cost risks and opportunities through value engineering
- Support cost control, change orders, and project financial tracking
Requirements:
- Proven experience estimating industrial or base building construction projects
- Strong understanding of structural, civil, and site work scopes
- Experience in commercial interiors is an asset, not the primary focus
- Comfortable in a client-facing role with clear, professional communication skills
- Experience working in Construction Management environments preferred
- Proficiency with estimating tools such as Procore, PlanSwift, or similar
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines
