Job Details:
Position: Diesel Mechanic Maintenance, ME01 to ME06
Base Pay: $20.30 - $29.00 based on experience. $1 extra for CDL. $2 extra for welding certificate.
Description:
This position is responsible for maintenance and preventative maintenance on diesel engine trucks and trailers while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Tasks:
This position will perform preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers to include oil changes, greasing, repairing or replacing semi tires, brake repair or replacement on semi-trucks and trailers.
This position requires a current Arkansas Driver’s License and must pass Tyson Yard/Lot Driver Assessment.
Must have basic mechanical or maintenance skills.
Must supply your own tools for minimum maintenance.
Must have the ability to lift 60-100 pounds, stairs and ladders up to 20 feet, bend, stretch, reach, work in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors.
Must be able to use basic electrical, pneumatic and hand tools.
Must have the ability to read and understand policies, procedures and regulations.
Must have the ability to document information.
Must have the ability to communicate with others written and verbally. If an applicant meets the minimum requirements for consideration, they may be contacted for an interview.
Requirements:
Must have Mechanical/maintenance Skills listed in work history or skills section of application
Applicants who have worked for Tyson three times will not be considered.
Minimum 180 day waiting period from previous Tyson employment.
Must be willing to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift.
Applicants must be 18 years of age.
