Maintenance Technician – JLL

What this job involves: The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring our facilities operate at peak performance through skilled maintenance and repair work across multiple building systems. In this versatile position, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing critical building infrastructure, from interior systems and lighting to plumbing and mechanical equipment. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to develop diverse technical skills while contributing directly to facility excellence and tenant satisfaction. As business needs evolve, you'll have the flexibility to take on new challenges and expand your expertise within a supportive team environment that values quality workmanship and proactive problem-solving.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues to maintain building functionality and minimize downtime.

• Perform general building maintenance including carpentry, drywall, light electrical, light plumbing, and painting for both interior and exterior areas.

• Execute commercial door repairs including electrified locks, panic hardware, mortise systems, and automatic/manual sliding doors.

• Assist with HVAC systems maintenance and repairs while conducting regular inspections of premises and equipment.

• Complete assigned work orders in CMMS with appropriate service documentation and maintain accurate maintenance records.

• Participate in rotating on-call schedule to respond to facility emergencies, system failures, and urgent maintenance issues outside normal business hours.

• Support the engineering team in building systems maintenance while participating in ongoing technical, safety, and operational training programs.

Required Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship required.

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in general building repairs and maintenance within commercial, industrial, or manufacturing environments.

• Demonstrated experience with preventative maintenance procedures and protocols.

• Strong customer service orientation with excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Proficiency in basic computer applications including MS Office, Slack, email, and ability to navigate digital systems.

• Valid driver's license, high school diploma or GED equivalent, and proficiency using various hand and power tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certifications in specific trade areas such as HVAC, electrical, or plumbing.

• Experience working with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and building automation systems (BAS).

• Trade school education or military service background.

• Knowledge of energy conservation practices and sustainable building operations.

• Experience with building automation systems and modern facility management technologies.

Location: Costa Mesa, CA

Work Shift: The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Rotating on-call weekend support may be required based on operational needs.

Salary: $34.61 - $37.95

This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Estimated compensation for this position:

72,000.00 – 78,940.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
