  • Accounting Analyst

    Position Summary

    The Accounting Analyst B3 is responsible for supporting general accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and contributing to the timely completion of the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes. This role performs account reconciliations, journal entry preparation, financial analysis, audit support, and compliance activities while collaborating with cross-functional finance teams to maintain strong financial controls and reporting accuracy.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare, review, and post journal entries accurately and within established deadlines.
    • Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
    • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities to ensure accurate financial reporting.
    • Analyze financial transactions and accounting records to ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
    • Review account activity, identify variances, and investigate unusual transactions or discrepancies.
    • Assist in the preparation and review of internal and external financial reports.
    • Maintain organized and complete supporting documentation for audit, compliance, and reporting purposes.
    • Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, Treasury, Controllership, and other finance teams to resolve accounting issues and improve processes.
    • Ensure compliance with internal control requirements, including SOX controls and company policies.
    • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and responses to auditor inquiries.
    • Participate in process improvement initiatives, automation efforts, and finance system implementations.
    • Assist management with ad hoc financial analyses, reporting requests, and special projects.

    Qualifications

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is a plus.

    Experience

    • 3 to 5 years of accounting or financial analysis experience.
    • Experience in general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and financial close processes.
    • Experience working in multinational or shared service environments is preferred.

    Technical Skills

    • Strong understanding of US GAAP, IFRS, or local accounting standards.
    • Knowledge of internal controls and SOX compliance requirements.
    • Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
    • Experience with financial reporting and reconciliation tools is preferred.

    • Contribution to process improvement and automation initiatives.
