Description
Associate UI/UX Designer
Location: Lahore, Pakistan (On-site) Experience: 1+ years Type: Full-time
Job Overview
We are looking for a process-driven Associate UI/UX Designer with at least 1 year of professional experience to join our team. The ideal candidate goes beyond visual delivery — they can run a complete UX process from empathy mapping and user journey definition through to high-fidelity design, and they communicate their reasoning clearly to developers and product stakeholders. Hands-on proficiency with AI design tools is a firm expectation, not a bonus.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the PM and BA during client calls — present design work clearly, respond to design-related questions, and take notes on feedback that needs to be actioned in the next iteration.
- Assist in planning and conducting user research activities including interviews, usability testing, surveys, and synthesis of findings
- Review the user stories and acceptance criteria in collaboration with product managers and developers.
- Build and maintain scalable design systems and reusable component libraries that developers can implement reliably.
- Produce high-fidelity UI designs and interactive prototypes in Figma, using Figma Make and AI-assisted design features to accelerate workflow.
- Use AI design tools — including Framer AI, Claude (Anthropic), and Manus — actively in the design process for ideation, layout generation, copy, and rapid iteration.
- Present design work with structured reasoning: define the problem, explain the process, justify key decisions, and articulate what was tested or validated.
- Collaborate closely with developers during implementation, perform UI reviews, validate design fidelity, and proactively resolve implementation gaps before release
- Incorporate feedback from usability tests, design critiques, and stakeholder reviews into iterative improvements.
- Stay current with emerging AI-powered design tools and bring relevant practices back to the team.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in HCI, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 1 year of professional UI/UX design experience. A strong academic or internship portfolio will be considered.
- Strong proficiency in Figma — including components, auto-layout, variables, prototyping, and Figma Make.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with at least two AI-assisted design tools, such as Figma Make, Framer AI, Claude (Anthropic), Loveable, Bolt, or Manus, and the ability to integrate them effectively into daily design workflows
- Solid command of the full UX process — empathy maps, user personas, user journey maps, UX flows, wireframes, prototypes, and usability testing.
- Ability to write clear user stories and map them to design decisions and interaction flows.
- Experience building and maintaining design systems and component libraries.
- Strong reasoning and communication skills — you can walk a client or developer through your design rationale without relying on the visuals alone.
- Portfolio on Behance (or equivalent) with at least two detailed case studies. Each case study should include the problem statement, your UX process, key decisions made, and the outcome.
- Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills — comfortable working directly with clients and cross-functional teams.
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or Adobe XD is a plus.
