As a Sourcing Manager, Learning Design Specialist within Global Sourcing, you will help build the knowledge, skills, and confidence partners need to succeed in a rapidly evolving business environment. You will serve as a learning consultant, content developer, and change practitioner, partnering with leaders and subject matter experts to transform complex sourcing processes, systems, technologies, and business concepts into engaging learning experiences that drive adoption, capability growth, and business results.

As a Learning Design Specialist, you will:

  • Design and develop capability-building solutions that help sourcing partners build the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to drive business results.
  • Serve as a learning consultant, content developer, and change practitioner, partnering with leaders, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to identify performance needs and create solutions that improve capability, adoption, and outcomes.
  • Transform complex sourcing processes, systems, technologies, and business concepts into engaging learning experiences, performance support tools, and enablement resources.
  • Support organizational, process, and technology change initiatives through learning, communications, reinforcement, and manager enablement strategies that drive sustained behavior change.
  • Leverage learner, operational, adoption, and business data to identify opportunities, measure effectiveness, evaluate impact, and continuously improve learning solutions.
  • Develop and maintain digital learning experiences using Articulate 360 and related technologies while ensuring accessibility, quality, and sustainability standards are met.
  • Create learning measurement strategies, dashboards, and reporting approaches that connect learning investments to capability growth, adoption, performance improvement, and business outcomes.
  • Manage multiple learning and capability-building initiatives while ensuring solutions meet quality, accessibility, governance, and technical standards.

We'd love to hear from people with:

  • Experience designing and developing learning solutions for adult learners in corporate, operational, technical, or similarly complex business environments.
  • Expertise in instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, learning experience design, performance consulting, and assessment development.
  • Advanced proficiency with Articulate 360, including Rise and Storyline.
  • Experience developing learning solutions across multiple modalities, including e-learning, instructor-led learning, video, performance support, and blended learning programs.
  • Experience serving as a content developer, learning consultant, and change practitioner, translating business needs into scalable capability-building solutions.
  • Experience supporting organizational, process, system, or technology change initiatives through learning, communications, reinforcement, and adoption strategies.
  • Strong data literacy, including experience using learner, operational, adoption, or business metrics to identify needs, measure effectiveness, demonstrate impact, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Experience developing measurement plans, dashboards, reports, or analytics that connect learning outcomes to capability growth, behavior change, adoption, and business impact.
  • Strong stakeholder management, consulting, and collaboration skills with experience working across business, operations, technology, and leadership teams.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and the ability to connect capability-building strategies to organizational goals and results.
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Learning Technologies, Adult Education, Learning Sciences, Organizational Development, Education, Communications, Business, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Instructional Design, Learning Design & Technology, Learning Sciences, Adult Education, Organizational Development, Educational Technology, Change Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting enterprise technology implementations, business transformation initiatives, or large-scale change programs.
  • Experience applying change management methodologies such as Prosci ADKAR or similar frameworks.
  • Experience using Power BI, Tableau, learning analytics platforms, survey tools, or business intelligence tools to evaluate effectiveness and communicate impact.
  • Experience designing learning solutions within sourcing, procurement, supply chain, finance, operations, technology, or other complex business functions.
  • Experience creating multimedia assets using tools such as Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite, Vyond, or similar platforms.
  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools and technologies to improve content development, learning design, knowledge management, or performance support.
  • Portfolio demonstrating learning design, multimedia development, performance support, assessment, and learner experience solutions.

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
