Description
Ideal candidate will be based in Ohio. Expectation would be to come into the Dublin, OH office for moments that matter, usually once a month and once a quarter. Also open to remote candidates in Eastern and Central time zones who can travel to Dublin, Ohio once a quarter.
What Treasury contributes to Cardinal Health
Finance oversees the accounting, tax, financial plans and policies of the organization, establishes and maintains fiscal controls, prepares and interprets financial reports, oversees financial systems and safeguards the organization's assets.
Treasury develops, recommends, and executes financial policy with a focus on corporate finance, capital markets, financial risk, international treasury, and treasury operations. This job family sets an appropriate capital structure, ensuring that at all times the company has the liquidity to meet its obligations and fund strategic initiatives. Treasury also identifies and manages risks that could erode financial strength.
Responsibilities
- Support daily international treasury operations, including cash and liquidity management, payment execution, cash forecasting, risk mitigation, reporting, analytics, and bank account administration
- Monitor and manage daily cash positions and short-term liquidity forecasts to ensure international legal entities and businesses have adequate funding.
- Identify efficient funding alternatives and recommend appropriate actions to optimize liquidity.
- Invest international cash in accordance with the company’s investment policy while balancing liquidity, risk, and efficiency.
- Apply knowledge of global banking practices to advise on bank account structures, products, services, and overall banking strategies.
- Lead bank account opening, closing, and maintenance activities, including the management of bank fees and identification of cost-reduction opportunities.
- Lead and support treasury projects, process improvements, and strategic initiatives.
- Proactively develop technical expertise and stay current on treasury trends, market dynamics, and industry best practices.
- Provide regional support and cross-functional coverage for treasury operations.
- Manage time-sensitive guarantee requirements for bids and tenders, coordinating with banks and internal business partners to ensure timely issuance.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure treasury activities are executed accurately and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Analyze treasury data and develop insights and recommendations that support business and policy decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
- 3+ years of corporate treasury experience, preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheet modeling and data analysis.
- Strong knowledge of banking products, services, and treasury practices.
- Demonstrated ability to apply corporate finance and treasury principles to business decisions.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Previous experience with a Treasury Management System preferred; Kyriba experience is a plus.
- Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification preferred.
