Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager / Scrum Master to drive the end-to-end delivery of software and product initiatives across cross-functional engineering teams.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of Technical Project Management, Scrum/Agile leadership, delivery management, and technical understanding. This role will be responsible for planning and coordinating multiple work streams, managing dependencies and risks, facilitating Agile ceremonies, and ensuring predictable delivery across engineering, Product, QA, and other stakeholder groups.
The candidate should be comfortable working in a technically complex product environment and collaborating closely with Product Owners, Engineering Managers, Technical Leads, Developers, QA, Business Stakeholders, and other technical teams.
This is a delivery-focused role requiring someone who can operate at both the project/program level and team level, while maintaining strong visibility into timelines, dependencies, risks, priorities, and delivery outcomes.
Job Responsibilities
1. Project & Delivery Management
- Own end-to-end delivery of software projects from planning and estimation through development, testing, UAT, and production release.
- Define project scope, milestones, timelines, dependencies, priorities, and delivery objectives.
- Create and maintain project plans, release plans, roadmaps, and delivery schedules.
- Track progress against milestones, commitments, and release objectives.
- Identify delivery risks, issues, dependencies, and blockers and drive them toward resolution.
- Manage scope changes and assess their impact on timelines, resources, and delivery commitments.
- Coordinate multiple technical workstreams and ensure alignment across teams.
- Maintain project documentation, status reports, action items, RAID logs, and delivery dashboards.
- Provide clear and timely communication on project status, risks, dependencies, decisions, and changes to stakeholders.
- Ensure delivery commitments are clearly understood and tracked across Product and Engineering.
2. Scrum Master & Agile Leadership
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including:
- Sprint Planning
- Daily Scrum
- Backlog Refinement
- Sprint Review / Demo
- Sprint Retrospective
- Ensure teams understand and work toward clearly defined Sprint Goals.
- Partner with Product Owners to maintain a healthy, prioritized, and actionable Product Backlog.
- Ensure user stories have clear requirements, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and Definition of Done before development begins.
- Identify and remove impediments affecting team productivity and sprint commitments.
- Promote Agile principles, transparency, accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Coach teams on effective Scrum and Agile practices.
- Monitor sprint execution and identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Help teams improve predictability, planning accuracy, and delivery consistency.
3. Technical & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate delivery across Frontend, Backend, Mobile, QA, and other technical teams.
- Work closely with Technical Leads, Engineering Managers, and developers to understand technical dependencies, implementation constraints, and delivery risks.
- Facilitate effective communication between Product, Engineering, QA, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate development readiness, code reviews, QA testing, regression testing, UAT, and release activities.
- Track cross-team technical dependencies and ensure blockers are actively managed.
- Participate in technical discussions and help ensure technical decisions are aligned with delivery objectives.
- Understand software development lifecycle, APIs, databases, cloud environments, integrations, and modern application architectures.
- Translate technical dependencies and risks into clear project-level impact for stakeholders.
4. QA, UAT & Release Management
- Coordinate development and QA activities throughout the release lifecycle.
- Ensure defects, rework, regression activities, and technical debt are appropriately tracked and prioritized.
- Coordinate UAT planning, execution, and issue resolution.
- Track release readiness and required quality gates.
- Coordinate production deployment activities with relevant engineering and operational teams.
- Ensure release dependencies and approvals are identified and completed on time.
- Track post-release issues, feedback, and follow-up actions.
5. Metrics, Reporting & Delivery Insights
- Monitor and analyze Agile and project delivery metrics, including:
- Sprint Capacity
- Velocity
- Burndown / Burnup
- Cycle Time
- Throughput
- Defect Trends
- QA Rework
- Milestone Progress
- Delivery Predictability
- Build and maintain Jira dashboards, filters, and reports for project and sprint visibility.
- Provide actionable insights to Product and Engineering leadership based on delivery data.
- Identify delivery trends and potential schedule or capacity risks early.
- Maintain clear reporting on project health, milestones, dependencies, risks, and blockers.
Job Requirements:
Skills & Experience
- 8–12+ years of experience in software project management, technical project management, Agile delivery, or a related role.
- Strong hands-on experience as a Technical Project Manager, Project Manager, Scrum Master, or similar delivery leadership role.
- Strong understanding and practical experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Proven experience managing cross-functional software development teams.
- Experience coordinating Frontend, Backend, QA, and other technical teams.
- Strong experience in project planning, estimation, capacity planning, milestone tracking, and release planning.
- Strong experience with risk, issue, dependency, and scope management.
- Experience coordinating QA, UAT, production releases, and post-release activities.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Ability to create and maintain Jira dashboards, filters, reports, and delivery metrics.
- Ability to understand technical requirements and communicate effectively with engineering teams.
- Strong analytical, documentation, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced product development environment.

Note: This is not a hands-on developer position. However, the candidate should have sufficient technical understanding to communicate effectively with engineering teams, understand architecture and technical dependencies, identify delivery risks, and translate technical challenges into project-level impact.

Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday from 12 PM to 9 PM IST. This will provide healthy overlap between India team and US team and supporting both to ensure adequate collaboration. This role will be working in Hybrid Mode and will require at least 2 days’ work from office at Hyderabad.
