Job Description

As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Care in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will build positive relationships with students, staff, and visitors through exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus community members while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; contact appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare accurate written reports and maintain required activity logs, documenting patrols, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
