The Role in Brief
As a BDM for Google Cloud, you are the growth architect. You will recruit new partners and work deeply with existing ones to build their Google Cloud practices through strategic
Go-To-Market (GTM) planning and technical competency scaling.
Key Responsibilities (KRA)
- GTM Strategy & Execution: Jointly plan and execute GTM activities with partners to generate high-quality pipeline & ensure deal registrations in favor of Ingram Micro.
- Partner Lifecycle Management: Guide partners through Google Cloud Partner Network tiers and help them earn specific Tiers & Competencies.
- Recruitment: Identify and onboard "Born-in-the-Cloud" partners, traditional VARs, System Integrators etc. to the Ingram Micro ecosystem.
- Revenue & Margin: Accountable for achieving revenue targets for the Google Cloud portfolio every quarter
- Enablement: Drive partner sales and technical readiness through workshops and training sessions.
- Vendor Alignment: Act as the primary bridge between Google Cloud vendor teams and our internal sales engine.
- Product Demos : Give basic product demos to partners & customers at prequalification stage
Required Competencies
- Channel Expertise: Strong background in B2B distribution or partner-led sales models.
- Cloud Proficiency: Solid understanding of Google Cloud's value prop when compared with other hyperscalers.
- Strategic Planning: Ability to pivot between high-level strategy and the "boots-on-the-ground" tactical sales support needed to close deals.
- Influencing Skills: Capable of driving partner investment in Google Cloud certifications and practice building.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years in Business Development or Channel Management (Cloud/IT).
- Technical: Associate or Professional Google Cloud Certification is preferred.
- Education: Degree in Business or IT; MBA preferred.
