## Your Responsibilities

As a Staff Embedded Software Engineer at Sentera located in St. Paul, MN, you will

• Develop high-quality software for our drone and sensor platforms. You will be responsible for researching, designing, andleading integration of reliable guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) subsystems,communications, and payload management subsystems.
• Duties will include managing interfaces with external partners and suppliers, enterprise data management platforms, and ground control systems.
• You’ll also play a key role in implementation and management of development processes and lifecycle management of advanced, complex embedded systems.

## What Skills You Need

• 7 or more years of experience in embedded software product development, with real-time experience strongly preferred
• 2 or more years of control systems preferred, or advanced degree equivalent
• Working familiarity with the PX4, Ardupilot, or similar software platforms
• Working familiarity with Pixhawk or similar flight controller hardware platforms
• Experience with GNSS integration into location-aware embedded products
• Familiarity with the MAVLINK protocol; ROS preferred as well
• High proficiency in C/C++ and Python
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, mechanical, marketing) to translate customer needs into software requirements and solutions
• Strong collaboration and communication skills

• Experience developing applications on Linux
• Familiarity with common peripheral interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, USB, CAN, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet)
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and experience building client/server software
• Knowledge of digital image processing techniques

## Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
