Job Description

The Opportunity

As an Enterprise Resilience Consultant, you will support MassMutual’s ability to prepare for, respond to, and recover from events that could disrupt important business services, operations, technology, suppliers, facilities, or employees. You will contribute to the execution of enterprise resilience activities, including business continuity, operational resilience, disaster recovery coordination, emergency preparedness, crisis response support, governance, reporting, and continuous improvement.

This role supports the Head of Enterprise Resilience and is based in Hyderabad, India. The position is intended for a developing resilience professional who will support enterprise initiatives under the direction of senior team members, contribute to program execution, maintain high-quality documentation, track actions and risks, prepare stakeholder materials, and help embed resilience practices across the organization.

The Team

The Office of Enterprise Resilience helps MassMutual reduce disruption risk and maintain important operations through planning, testing, response coordination, governance, reporting, and continuous improvement. The team partners with business, technology, risk, operations, procurement, legal, compliance, security, facilities, and supplier management teams to strengthen enterprise preparedness and resilience outcomes.

In this role, you will support cross-functional work that is detail-oriented, time-sensitive, and connected to customer outcomes, regulatory expectations, and MassMutual’s purpose. You may assist with resilience reviews, exercises, incident-related assessments, stakeholder updates, and management reporting.

The Impact

·       Support enterprise resilience program activities by maintaining plans, trackers, issue logs, evidence repositories, meeting materials, and status updates.

·       Assist with business continuity, operational resilience, disaster recovery, emergency preparedness, and third-party resilience activities by gathering inputs, reviewing documentation, tracking actions, and escalating gaps or overdue items.

o   Coordinate resilience exercises, plan validations, workshops, and stakeholder meetings by preparing agendas, materials, attendance records, notes, action items, and follow-up communications.

o   Partner with business and technology stakeholders to collect and validate resilience information (such as BIAs, DR Plans, etc.), including critical functions, dependencies, recovery strategies, contingency procedures, testing evidence, supplier documentation, and remediation updates.

o   Prepare reporting and analysis that provide visibility into resilience posture, open issues, testing progress, program health, and emerging risks.

o   Support incident and disruption response activities by helping assess potential impacts, document decisions, coordinate updates, track follow-up actions, and maintain records through recovery or closure.

o   Identify opportunities to improve process consistency, documentation quality, stakeholder experience, and reporting routines while staying aligned with enterprise standards.

The Minimum Qualifications

·       5 - 7+ years of experience in business continuity, operational resilience, disaster recovery, emergency management, enterprise risk management, third-party risk management, technology risk, operations, or related program execution.

·       Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

·       Experience supporting program management, risk assessments, control reviews, plan maintenance, testing, issue tracking, action-item management, or stakeholder reporting.

·       Strong knowledge of implementing AI-enabled solutions, including identifying use cases, supporting adoption, evaluating operational impacts, and aligning implementation activities with business, risk, and governance requirements.

·       Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders in risk, technology, operations, compliance, procurement, legal, business continuity, disaster recovery, or supplier management.

·       Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.

·       Experience preparing written communications, status updates, meeting materials, summaries, trackers, or reporting deliverables for stakeholders.

·       Ability to work flexible hours when needed to support time-sensitive resilience activities, global stakeholders, significant incidents, exercises, or critical deliverables.

The Ideal Qualifications

·       Experience supporting resilience, business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management, emergency preparedness, third-party resilience, or operational risk programs in insurance or financial services.

·       Understanding of operational resilience, business continuity planning, disaster recovery, emergency response, dependency mapping, incident response, supplier risk, or issue management practices.

·       Experience with Archer, ProcessUnity, Jira, SharePoint, continuity planning tools, workflow management tools, supplier risk platforms, reporting platforms, or similar systems.

·       Experience developing dashboards, scorecards, metrics, meeting materials, governance updates, management reporting, or executive-ready summaries.

·       Knowledge of resilience-related regulatory expectations or industry practices, such as ISO 22301, FFIEC guidance, DORA, NIST, or similar frameworks.

·       Professional certification such as CBCP, MBCP, CRISC, CISA, CISM, PMP, or equivalent experience.

·       Ability to translate complex resilience, risk, and operational information into clear actions, owners, timelines, and stakeholder-ready insights.
