Consultant Internal Medicine (American Board) - Dubai

Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Consultant Internal Medicine Physician to join a leading healthcare organization in Dubai.The ideal candidate will hold American Board Certification in Internal Medicine and have strong experience in the diagnosis and management of complex adult medical conditions in a hospital or multispecialty healthcare setting.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide consultant-level assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of adult patients.Manage a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions, including:Diabetes mellitusHypertensionCardiovascular diseasesRespiratory disordersGastrointestinal conditionsInfectious diseasesRenal and electrolyte disordersEndocrine disordersHematological conditionsRheumatological and autoimmune diseasesEvaluate complex and undifferentiated medical presentations.Develop evidence-based, individualized treatment plans.Manage patients with multiple and complex comorbidities.Provide inpatient and/or outpatient internal medicine care according to service requirements.Coordinate referrals and collaborate with subspecialists when required.Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical meetings.Provide appropriate pre-operative medical assessment and optimization where required.Monitor treatment response and modify management plans accordingly.Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient documentation.Promote preventive healthcare and appropriate screening.Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, research, and continuing medical education.Support teaching, supervision, and mentoring of residents and junior medical staff.Maintain high standards of patient safety, professional ethics, and evidence-based clinical practice.Required QualificationsMBBS, MD, MBChB, or equivalent medical degree.American Board Certification in Internal Medicine is mandatory.Valid UAE professional license or eligibility for licensing in Dubai.Good standing with the relevant medical licensing authority.ExperienceConsultant-level experience in Internal Medicine.Strong experience managing complex adult medical patients.Experience in a tertiary-care hospital, multispecialty hospital, or established medical centre is preferred.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with medical and surgical subspecialists.Key CompetenciesGeneral Internal MedicineComplex Medical Case ManagementChronic Disease ManagementAcute Medical CarePreventive MedicineDiagnostic ReasoningMultisystem Disease ManagementPatient Risk AssessmentMultidisciplinary CareClinical LeadershipCandidate ProfileThe ideal candidate will be a highly competent American Board-certified Consultant in Internal Medicine with excellent diagnostic reasoning, clinical judgment, and communication skills.The candidate should demonstrate:Strong evidence-based clinical decision-making.Excellent patient assessment and management skills.Ability to manage complex and multiple comorbidities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Commitment to patient-centred care and safety.Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.Commitment to teaching, research, and continuous professional development.What We OfferCompetitive consultant-level compensation.Professional and supportive clinical environment.Multidisciplinary working environment.Opportunities for continuing medical education and professional development.Attractive benefits package in accordance with organizational policy.
