Description:
As a Team Leader in Inventory Controls at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll guide a team of inventory professionals while contributing to our mission to enable customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. You'll oversee daily operations, ensuring accurate inventory management and exceptional service delivery across our facilities. This role combines leadership, analytical thinking, and strategic planning to optimize inventory processes and drive continuous improvement.

Working in a distributed environment, you'll serve as a key liaison between customers and Thermo Fisher Scientific, managing important relationships while delivering on contractual commitments. You'll develop and track business metrics, implement standard operating procedures, and identify new opportunities for service expansion. This position offers the opportunity to drive process improvements and foster a culture of excellence in inventory management.

Location: Onsite Allentown - PA

Shift: 3rd Shift (Nights) 11pm-7am (EST)

Keys to Success:

Education:
• Advanced Degree with no prior experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of experience in inventory management nice to have. Will accept 3 plus years of work experience with a high school diploma required.
• Preferred Fields of Study: related field

Experience:
• Leadership experience with proven ability to supervise, coach, and develop team members
• Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to make data-driven decisions
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and process optimization

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Experience in conducting site audits and physical inventory counts
• Capability to work independently in a distributed environment
• Professional approach and strong customer service orientation
• Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to maintain ergonomic workspace
• Experience with Oracle and/or Maximo systems preferred
• Forklift certification a plus
