Spectral Integration Engineer (Expert-Level)
Mission Intelligence Group is seeking an Expert-Level Spectral Integration Engineer to lead the integration and deployment of advanced spectral exploitation capabilities supporting the National System for Geospatial Intelligence (NSG) mission. This role is ideal for a seasoned systems integration professional with deep experience in spectral data exploitation, enterprise system interoperability, and NGA environments. You will play a critical role in delivering mission-focused solutions that enable image scientists to process, analyze, and exploit both literal and non-literal datasets.
Your Role
As a Spectral Integration Engineer, you will lead the establishment and integration of a spectral exploitation environment within the broader NSG TCPED Enterprise. Working closely with systems engineers, image scientists, developers, and government stakeholders, you will ensure spectral exploitation tools and mission systems seamlessly interoperate to support end-to-end GEOINT operations. Your expertise will directly contribute to the design, deployment, and sustainment of mission-critical capabilities across complex enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the integration and deployment of spectral exploitation tools and environments.
- Establish and maintain an integrated PED environment supporting image science and advanced spectral tradecraft.
- Provide expert technical guidance on mission strategy, capability development, and systems engineering initiatives.
- Translate mission and customer requirements into technical solutions and capability requirements.
- Support systems integration activities across complex enterprise architectures.
- Analyze user requirements and ensure traceability to system architectures and solutions.
- Identify and improve workflow, scheduling, and process limitations through engineering solutions.
- Support strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, and risk management efforts.
- Collaborate with government, engineering, and mission stakeholders to ensure enterprise interoperability.
- Maintain the integrity of system-of-systems architectures supporting GEOINT mission objectives.
Required Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of NGA program or project experience.
- Experience integrating spectral data into spectral exploitation tools.
- Experience integrating cloud-based solutions and technologies.
- Strong understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle.
- Active TS/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain SCI eligibility and successfully complete a polygraph.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the NSG/ASG and NRO enterprise environments.
- Previous Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense (DoD) program experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Imagery Analysis, or a related STEM discipline.
- INCOSE Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP) certification.
- Experience integrating spectral exploitation capabilities within SAGE/CAP architecture.
- Experience integrating NGA/ATS tradecraft tools, including:
- Data Transformation Services (DTS)
- Full Spectrum Tool Kit (FSTK)
