Job Description:

The CSPD Supply Chain Technician ensures the efficient and organized management of the Central Sterile Processing Department’s inventory and supply chain.

This position involves the coordination of various activities related to procurement, inventory management, and distribution of supplies and equipment. The Supply Chain Technician contributes to the smooth operation of the hospital by maintaining optimal inventory levels, monitoring supply needs, and supporting the procurement process.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor stock levels and anticipate supply needs to prevent shortages and overstock.

• Implement effective inventory control practices, including the use of first-in, first-out (FIFO) principles.

• Conduct regular audits and physical counts of inventory to maintain accuracy.

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments to ensure they match purchase orders and meet quality and safety standards.

• Identify and report any damaged, expired, or recalled items to the Supply Chain Manager.

• Coordinate with hospital departments to fulfill supply requests and ensure the timely and accurate distribution of supplies.

• Ensure that requested supplies meet quality and safety standards.

• Accurately document all procurement and inventory-related activities.

• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of purchases, received shipments, and supply distribution.

• Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of safety and sanitation.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including FDA and hospital policies.

 

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.

• 0 - 1 years of experience.

• Basic familiarity with computers.  Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications. Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.

 

 

Pay Range:

$25.00 - $33.65

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.  Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
