As a Security Officer - Full Time Visitor Screening in New Braunfels, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help create a welcoming environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. - Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Screen persons, packages, bags, and authorized property entering the location using established procedures and screening equipment; report prohibited items, irregularities, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
- Verify identification, credentials, and access authorization for employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors in accordance with site requirements.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns and documenting activities according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and surrounding business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and support a professional environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
