We are seeking a talented individual to join our Investments team at Mercer. This role will be based in Lisbon. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Join our Investment Consultant team and support a wide range of investment consulting activities for both corporate and trustee clients. You will work closely with Ireland-based consultants and support teams in Portugal and Ireland to help coordinate and deliver exceptional service to our clients. This is a unique opportunity to join a young, growing, and successful team in Portugal at an exciting time of change and opportunity. You will collaborate daily with Irish-based consultants and contribute across all stages of the investment consultancy process for Irish DC pension funds.
We will count on you to:
- Help consultants managing a portfolio of clients on a day-to-day basis, manage and
- Help consultants manage a portfolio of clients on a day-to-day basis, including tracking ongoing client actions and drafting correspondence.
- Contribute to the production and review of quarterly investment reports.
- Support the preparation of trustee meeting packs.
- Update compliance documents and investment updates.
- Prepare communications to members regarding any changes to their plan.
- Support the business with non-client-related tasks, including the implementation and updating of investment templates, lifestyle strategy reviews, and investment committee materials.
- Participate in project work as required, including work outside investment-related topics.
What you need to have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Management, or a related field.
- Professional or academic background in Finance/Investments is desirable.
- Understanding of pensions, investment markets, and asset classes.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills (C1/C2).
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with a proactive and goal-oriented approach to prioritising and managing a wide range of ongoing tasks effectively.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and clients, and confidence in dealing with client contacts.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
