Job Summary

Job Title: Mechanical Metal Trades

 

The primary function of this role is to handle material, weld assemblies and operate a plasma cutter.  In addition to loading and unloading trucks, driving a forklift and operator a yard crane.  This role reports directly to the Mechanical Fabrication Manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

• Handling material such as cutting/punching angle iron.
• Welding assemblies.
• Operating a plasma cutter.
• Loading and unloading trucks, driving a forklift and operating a yard crane.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

 

• High Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years’ experience in welding is required.
• Strong mechanical background is required.
• Valid driving license with clean driving record is required.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds is required.
• Experience with basic computer systems, specifically Microsoft Office, is a plus.
