POSITION SUMMARY:
Successfully promote and support the mission of Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas as guided by Catholic Social Teaching by coordinating and supporting the implementation of the Digital Navigation Program. The program currently provides services to Refugees and Migrants, including Digital Literacy Classes, Digital Access case management, and specialized workshop series covering a variety of digital literacy topics. As the Digital Navigation Program expands its services to support the broader community, the Digital Navigation Coordinator will play a key role in assessing community needs, identifying gaps in digital literacy and access services, and developing and coordinating programming to meet those needs. The coordinator will support the continued growth and development of the program while ensuring services remain responsive to the needs of clients and the communities served. EEO
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides supervision, guidance, and support to Digital Navigator, interns and volunteers.
- Develops and implements programming that addresses the digital literacy, digital access, and technology needs of clients.
- Supports the delivery of Digital Navigation services, including digital access case management, digital literacy classes, workshops, and one-on-one technical assistance, as needed.
- Ensures accurate and timely data collection, documentation, tracking, and reporting of Digital Navigation services and outcomes in compliance with funding requirements, agency policies, and quality assurance standards.
- Develops and maintains digital education resources and tools for clients and staff, ensuring information remains current and accessible.
- Cultivates and sustains strategic partnerships with Digital Navigation stakeholders, community-based organizations, faith-based organizations, social service providers, and other community partners to identify resources, share best practices, and strengthen technology and digital support services for clients and staff.
- Serves as a representative of Catholic Charities within the Digital Navigation community and supports the implementation, consistency, and integrity of the program.
- Ensures clients requiring digital skills support, technology access, or technical assistance are connected to appropriate resources, services, and technology.
- Primarily based in Wyandotte and Johnson Counties, with the potential to occasionally travel throughout the 21-county service area to support program activities, client services, and community partnerships.
- May be required to operate a Catholic Charities vehicle in accordance with agency policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrate a passion for the mission of Catholic Charities.
- Must be willing to perform by the agency’s values: love, patience, kindness, faithfulness, self- control and joy.
- Catholic Charities promotes a diverse workforce. - Must complete VIRTUS training, background screening, drug testing, and any ongoing training as required.
- Bachelor’s Degree or related 3+ years of field experience and one-year experience working with technology access.
- Establish highly effective relationships with clients, community agencies, volunteers, and other staff members.
- Communicate effectively in both written and verbal form in English and have excellent presentation skills for large and small groups.
- Must have good computer skills in order to administer regular assessments to track and communicate client progress through completion of monthly reports. Must be able to type and know how to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in attendance tracking and reporting, required by the agency and grants.
- Ability to work effectively in an environment that is very diverse, with a familiarity of refugee populations and able to ensure confidentiality of all clients.
- Must possess a valid Kansas or Missouri Driver’s license, dependable transportation, current vehicle insurance and a verified safe driving record.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, standing in the classroom, bending and moving
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds
- Must have physical ability to effectively communicate with others
- Must have the physical ability and appropriate licensure for driving
