As part of the Department of Theatre & Dance and reporting to the Chair, the Production Operations Coordinator will work directly with the Chair, the Professor of Design and Technology, and key partners at the Prior Performing Arts Center to ensure smooth execution of the department’s production work. This position includes some evening and weekend work.Job Description
This is an exempt, benefits-eligible position with an 11-month work schedule.
Major Areas of Responsibility
- Scheduling & Running Production Meetings
- Creating Production & Technical Calendars
- Creating and Maintaining Space Calendars for all Department Needs
- Coordinating inter-departmental projects, including but not limited too, space availability and staffing needs
- Overseeing technical and dress rehearsals.
- Coaching Student Stage Managers & Run Crews
- Coordinating Schedules for Production Run Crews
- Coordinating with Department of Theatre & Dance faculty for technical needs in the Prior Performing Arts Center for non-mainstage production needs and student organization performances.
- Coordinating with Prior Staff for needs in the Theatre & Dance Department’s studio, classroom and storage spaces across campus.
- Overseeing the operational needs of the Theatre & Dance Department’s studio, classroom and storage spaces across campus.
- Coordinating the needs of guest designers’ work within the Department.
- Coordinating Props & Furniture needs for rehearsals and performances of all department productions and final projects.
- Ensuring adequate support materials are available at all department events including rehearsals, such as tables, First Aid Kits, Stage Management Kits and other operational needs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Significant experience in theatrical production
- Fluency with Google Suite
- Flexibility to work professionally with faculty and staff.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of motivation
- Ability to make an impact through work as a member of a team and diverse community
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance a flexible work schedule

Compensation: This exempt-level position is compensated in the amount of $55,700-$59,000 commensurate with experience. This position has an 11-month annual schedule paid across 26 biweekly pay periods.
