About the Role:
Plays an integral role in the sales process utilizing in-depth domain knowledge across banking risk and trading risk to provide functional pre-sales expertise to sales staff. The role supports uncovering prospect requirements, identifying functional and solution gaps, shaping solution architecture, and developing, recommending, and packaging the best possible products, solutions, and services for client prospects through sales presentations, solution workshops, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept activities.
What You Will Do:
Plan and support sales strategies, positioning the firm’s banking risk and trading risk solutions in contrast to competitors
Discover and understand the business impact of the prospect’s requirements across banking book, trading book, market risk, credit risk, liquidity risk, ALM, capital management, and stress testing use cases in order to assess product fit, identify solution gaps, and advise customers and internal stakeholders on the overall solution approach.
Perform business solution presentations and deliver system demonstrations that are fit for purpose and well adapted for business users, risk specialists, treasury stakeholders, technology teams, and C-Level audiences
Respond to RFI / RFP / customer queries and deliver the POC in a timely and professional manner
Proactively generate business growth ideas across the banking risk and trading risk solution set by defining relevant Go-To-Market initiatives, solution offerings, value propositions, and cross-sell or bundle opportunities
Deliver end-to-end functional solution design and architecture for prospects and existing customers, including integration points across risk, treasury, finance, analytics, workflow, reporting, and adjacent client systems
Provide industry thought leadership, engage with the regulatory bodies, business associations, sector magazines, clients to remain updated on the present and future industry drivers and challenges
Efficiently interact with and support pre-sales colleagues in other parts of the world, while providing relevant market needs, competitor insights, solution gaps, and product feedback across banking risk and trading risk domains to Product Management and Development teams.
Support opportunities covering market risk, credit risk, counterparty credit risk, regulatory capital, stress testing, sensitivities, VaR, enterprise risk aggregation, and proof-of-concept activities.
What You Will Bring:
Bachelor's degree or any professional certificate equivalent with 5+ years of relevant presales experience
Experience working in or supporting a major Australian bank, preferably one of the Big Four Australian banks with exposure to banking risk, trading risk, treasury, or regulatory transformation initiatives
Sound knowledge of banking risk use cases including Asset Liability Management, Liquidity Risk Management, Funds Transfer Pricing, Expected Credit Loss, Capital Management, Credit RWA, Market Risk, and Stress Testing
Sound knowledge of banking book and trading book risk regulations in the region, including IRRBB, LCR / NSFR, Basel II/III/IV, FRTB, CCR, CVA, XVA, ICAAP, ILAAP, and related regulatory capital and stress testing requirements.
Sound knowledge of ALM and behavioural models, market risk and counterparty credit risk analytics, scenario analysis, VaR, sensitivities, stress testing, exposure simulation, and their practical application in financial institutions
Demonstrate an ‘out of the box, solution building’ capability.
An open-minded approach to learning about related risk, treasury, analytics, reporting, workflow, and enterprise solutions, and how they can be bundled together to address client outcomes.
