YOUR IMPACT AS A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR
Perform system builds and administration of workstations connected to our sponsor’s network. System management responsibilities involve account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation & maintenance, and other system administration related functions.
Work in partnership with a small team to configure and deploy systems that support our sponsor's goals.
Support helpdesk O&M calls related to deployed systems
Interact with users to troubleshoot technical challenges to mitigate program risks.
Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
Establish administrator and service accounts, maintain system documentation, tune system performance, install system-wide software, and allocate mass storage space.
Troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure system components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to system operations.
Independently determine and develop approaches to solutions.
Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
Maintain the security baseline compliance via configuration, implementation, and remediation activities.
Provide technical solutions to a wide range of unanticipated challenges.
Work under very general direction.
Apply regular security patches and software updates.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: High School Diploma/GED with 8 years of related experience, or Associate’s Degree with 6 years of experience, or Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years of experience
● Required Experience: 10+ years of related experience
● Required Technical Skills: Networking / Systems Administration knowledge
● Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI FS
● Required Skills and Abilities: Team player, Implement and develop process improvements
● Preferred Skills: Analyzes user needs and performs research and functional analysis on a variety of projects. Develop and or implement process improvements. Demonstrate strong communication skills oral and written.
