Your Opportunity
Our Operations Hub keeps the network running. This team coordinates access to our water and wastewater networks 24/7, protecting public health, minimising cost, and delivering an exceptional experience for customers and delivery partners.
As a Support Officer, you’ll back up our Control Room Operators and Crew Leader. You’ll process permits, manage enquiries, pull together operational data and reporting, and step into the Operator role when needed. No two shifts are the same.
What You’ll Deliver
Collate operational data using SCADA, Power BI and other reporting tools
Manage the Network Access Inbox; planned works, permit extensions, failed shuts and scheduling queries
Review and process permit applications against safety and legislative requirements
Handle water quality enquiries and provide resolutions to customers
Support the Control Room during wet weather events and incident management
Manage after hours customer faults and emergency calls
Back up Control Room Operators, including SCADA monitoring and raising work orders in Ellipse
About You
Strong understanding of task-specific procedures, workflows and systems
Confidence with Microsoft products; exposure to Urban Access, Ellipse, SCADA, EMS, Genesys, CRM, Power BI, JIRA or Confluence is a plus
Experience in the water industry or customer service is desirable
A Certificate III in Water Industry Operations is highly regarded, but not essential
Ability to work our 24/7 Control Room roster: 4 days on, 4 days off (worked as 2 day shifts and 2 night shifts), including working the maximum planned shift length of 12.25hrs
Eligibility for security clearance under SOCI requirements.
