How you'll make an impact in this role
Deliver sterile, reliable surgical sets by inspecting, assembling, and validating instruments so operating room teams have complete, functional tools for safe patient care.
Master decontamination and sterilization procedures following strict Manufacturer Instructions for Use (IFUs) to ensure zero cross-contamination and safeguard patient outcomes.
Maintain precise inventory control to build accurate, timely surgical case carts that prevent costly delays during critical procedures.
Operate advanced sterilization equipment with meticulous attention to clean standards, ensuring every piece of machinery and container functions at peak safety levels.
Drive clinical excellence through peer audits to support continuous quality assurance and champion high standards across the sterile processing team.
What minimum qualifications you'll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the InternationalAssociation of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) Preferred.
- Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Certification Boardfor Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) Preferred.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
