About the Role
We are seeking Trainee Building Control Surveyors to join our growing team.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals currently working within construction, surveying, architecture, engineering, building services, warranty inspection or other related sectors who are looking to build a long-term career in Building Control.
Working alongside experienced Registered Building Inspectors, you will receive structured mentoring, practical site experience and support towards professional qualifications and registration. Meridian has an excellent track record of developing surveyors and providing opportunities to progress through the RBI registration classes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with site inspections and compliance assessments
- Support plan checking and review of technical documentation
- Learn and apply Building Regulations and associated legislation
- Prepare reports and inspection notes
- Attend site visits alongside experienced surveyors
- Develop technical knowledge through structured training and mentoring
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
- Experience within construction, property, engineering, surveying, architecture, building services or a related industry
- Interest in Building Regulations and compliance
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Willingness to learn and develop professionally
- Full UK driving licence
