Purpose of the Job

This position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by receiving, storing, and shipping Coptic Orphans Organization supplies and materials. The Warehouse Specialist will maintain accurate inventory records, ensure the safety and security of the warehouse, and contribute to a well-organized and efficient work environment.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming purchases to verify the quantity and type against purchase orders and check for any damage or defects.

• Record the received goods data in the inventory management system.

• Organize, arrange, and store goods in a systematic and that ensures easy access, proper labeling, and the safety of equipment and tools used in the warehouse. Additionally, monitor storage conditions.

• Maintain accurate inventory records using the Warehouse Management System (WMS). This includes tracking quantities received, consumed, and dispensed. Regularly update inventory records to ensure data accuracy and record dispensing operations in the logs.

• Prepare and distribute orders to employees or internal departments as instructed, ensuring necessary approvals are obtained.

• Coordinate with shipping companies and schedule receipts as needed.

• Conduct regular inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies in stock levels and Prepare and submit regular reports on inventory levels, warehouse operations, and any discrepancies or issues.

• Monitor inventory levels, maintain minimum stock levels, and determine restocking orders when necessary.

• Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

 

Required Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.

• 1–3 years of experience in warehouse operations or inventory management is preferred.

• Basic English reading skills.

• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and reporting.

• Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.

• Good organizational and time management skills.

• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.

• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving items.

 

Travel and Working Requirements

• Physical work environment requiring standing, lifting, and moving of goods.

• Occasional work outside regular working hours may be required during peak periods.
