Who You Are:
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in an accounting role, with a strong background accounting background working preferably within traditional financial services.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist with month-end and quarter-end close process, including daily cash, payroll, fixed assets, and prepaids
- Process accounts payable, including invoice review, coding, and timely payment processing
- Prepare month end reconciliations for corporate balances
- Assist with analyzing legal entity level results for service entities
- Assist in intercompany eliminations and consolidation procedures
- Work with counterparts in other departments to investigate, reconcile and record correct entries
- Work with various stakeholders on projects including, acquisitions and internal restructures
- Work closely with FP&A team and SEC reporting team on their requests and various initiatives
- Manage and respond to audit requests for various entities
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years’ experience
- Familiarity with maintaining books and records of a bank or a financial institution
- Strong analytical skills and working with datasets in Excel
- Flexibility to innovate and implement new procedures to improve processes and workflow
- Intellectually curious self-starter, comfortable in ambiguity and a fast-paced environment
- Strong appetite for problem solving in a high growth business
- Strong attention to detail
- Team player with a can-do attitude
- Excellent communication skills
Bonus Points:
- College degree with a competitive GPA and demonstrated math or analytical ability
- Ability to multitasks, contributing to several projects at once
- Experience working at public accounting firm is a plus
- Experience with Netsuite
