Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) Technical Lead

Job Summary

The D365 F&O Technical Lead is responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) solutions. The role works closely with business users, functional consultants, IT teams, and implementation partners to deliver scalable technical solutions, support system enhancements, and maintain ERP application stability.

The successful candidate will contribute to customizations, integrations, reporting, data management, production support, and ERP implementation activities while adhering to Microsoft development standards and established DevOps practices. 

Key Responsibilities

Solution Development

• Design, develop, customize, test, and deploy D365 F&O solutions using X++, Visual Studio, extensions, data entities, SSRS, Electronic Reporting, workflows, and standard F&O frameworks.
• Translate business and functional requirements into technical specifications, solution designs, and development estimates.
• Develop and support integrations using Data Entities, OData, REST APIs, DMF, Azure Integration Services, Power Platform, and approved middleware.
• Troubleshoot system issues and provide technical fixes, enhancements, and application support. 

ERP Support & Optimization

• Support SIT, UAT, regression testing, deployment validation, go-live, and hypercare activities.
• Perform root cause analysis, debugging, performance tuning, and defect resolution.
• Support production environments and maintain system stability and performance. 

DevOps & Environment Support

• Support Azure DevOps activities including source control, repositories, pull requests, pipelines, and deployment processes.
• Assist with Lifecycle Services (LCS) activities such as environment management, deployment planning, release readiness, and platform updates.
• Follow established ALM, release management, and deployment standards.

Documentation & Collaboration

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, integration documents, deployment instructions, and support handover materials.
• Collaborate with project teams, business users, functional consultants, and external partners to support ERP initiatives.
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline. 

Experience

• Minimum 2–5 years of ERP technical development experience with hands-on exposure to Microsoft Dynamics AX and/or Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
