Business Performance & Analytics Analyst (GCF 04A)
Function: Global Supply Chain

Reports To: Business Performance & Analytics Analyst Manager, Amgen India
Role Summary
The Business Performance & Analytics Analyst supports the Global Planning Network and site Supply Chain organizations by delivering business intelligence, analytics, reporting, visualization, financial insights, and digital solutions that enable data-driven decision making across the end-to-end supply chain.
The role partners with Global Supply Planning, Raw Materials Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, Digital Technology, and Site Supply Chain Operations to transform operational, planning, and financial data into actionable business insights. This position is responsible for developing enterprise reporting, performance dashboards, planning analytics, KPI scorecards, and automation solutions that improve forecast accuracy, inventory optimization, manufacturing performance, service levels, operational efficiency, and business outcomes.
The analyst also supports continuous improvement initiatives through process standardization, automation, AI-enabled analytics, and self-service reporting capabilities while ensuring data integrity, governance, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Performance & Analytics
- Develop and maintain enterprise dashboards, KPI scorecards, and performance reporting that support the Global Planning Network and Site Supply Chain organisations.
- Analyse operational, planning, manufacturing, inventory, procurement, logistics and financial data to identify trends, risks, opportunities and performance improvement initiatives.
- Deliver recurring and ad hoc analytics to support Integrated Business Planning (IBP), S&OP, operational reviews, governance forums and executive decision-making.
- Translate complex data into actionable business insights and recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Develop executive-level visualisations that improve business visibility and support strategic planning.
2. Planning Network Analytics
Provide analytics and reporting support across Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Raw Materials Planning, Inventory Planning and Integrated Business Planning processes.
Monitor, analyse and report planning performance metrics including:
Supply Planning
- Supply / Production Plan Adherence
- Capacity Utilisation and Constraints
- Network Inventory Performance
- Inventory Health and Abnormal Scrap
Raw Materials Planning
- Material Availability
- Supplier Performance
- Purchase Order Adherence
- Inventory Health, Ageing, Excess and Obsolete Materials
- Raw Material Supply Risk Indicators
Partner with planning teams to identify opportunities to improve forecast accuracy, inventory optimisation, service levels and supply reliability.
3. Site Supply Chain Analytics
Provide analytics and reporting that support manufacturing execution, inventory management, warehousing, operational planning, inspection readiness and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitor and report inventory levels across all stages of manufacturing and supply.
- Analyse warehouse utilisation, inventory health and abnormal scrap performance.
- Support operational reviews through the delivery of timely analytics, business insights and performance reporting.
- Manage and maintain key site supply chain reports, dashboards and visualisation tools.
- Generate data extracts and analytics supporting operational reviews, regulatory inspections, business continuity activities and site performance management.
4. Supply Chain Systems & Digital Solutions
Provide functional support and continuous improvement for supply chain systems, data, reporting platforms and system integrations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support SAP Supply Chain processes including Warehouse Management (WM), Production Planning (PP), Order-to-Cash (OTC), Master Data and Quality Management.
- Provide functional support for SAP GUI transactions, SAP Fiori applications and connected platforms including MES, Maximo and Ariba.
- Troubleshoot user issues, reporting discrepancies, system errors and interface-related challenges.
- Support user access management, testing activities, documentation, training and user adoption initiatives.
- Partner with Digital Technology, SAP functional and technical teams to implement enhancements, resolve issues and improve system performance.
- Design, develop and maintain reporting and visualisation solutions using Tableau, Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud or similar platforms.
- Develop self-service reporting capabilities and automate recurring reporting processes to improve efficiency and business visibility.
5. Financial Analytics, Continuous Improvement & Automation
Support supply chain financial performance while driving process optimisation, automation and data-driven decision making.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support budgeting, forecasting, accrual management, invoice reconciliation, cost centre management, logistics charges and budget performance tracking.
- Analyse and reconcile operational and financial data to identify cost drivers, forecast spend and assess budget adherence.
- Partner with Finance and business stakeholders to understand financial impacts associated with inventory, manufacturing, logistics and scrap performance.
- Drive process simplification, standardisation and automation initiatives that improve operational efficiency and reporting effectiveness.
- Leverage AI-enabled analytics, predictive insights and digital technologies to enhance business performance and decision-making.
- Improve data quality, governance and reporting consistency across planning and operational processes.
- Support the development of innovative analytics solutions, digital dashboards and enterprise performance measurement capabilities.
Basic Qualifications
Master's degree OR Bachelor's degree and 5-9 years of experience in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, or related business functions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Supply Chain Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Operations, or related business functions.
- Knowledge of Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, Raw Materials Planning, and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes.
- Experience with SAP platforms (S/4HANA, ECC, Fiori, IBP) and business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud, or BusinessObjects.
- Proficiency in data analytics and reporting tools, including SQL, Python, Databricks, Excel, or similar technologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
- Experience driving process improvement, automation, AI-enabled analytics, and digital transformation initiatives in a complex business environment.
