Responsibilities
Ready to Build the Reliability Engineering Skills That Keep a Healthcare Platform Running at Scale?
Why This Role Matters
Every minute of downtime on a health platform has real consequences for real members. As a Site Reliability Engineer I, you sit at the intersection of software engineering and infrastructure — learning the Personify Health platform from the inside out while contributing to the observability strategies, automation work, and incident response processes that keep SLAs met and systems healthy. This is a foundational role with clear room to grow.
What You'll Actually Do
Monitor and observe platform health: Use New Relic and other observability tools to gather and analyze metrics, identify issues proactively, and support fault diagnosis before problems reach users.
Define and apply observability strategies: Contribute to SLI, SLO, and error budget frameworks that give the team clear signals on platform reliability and performance.
Participate in incident triage and on-call rotations: Engage in the team's core operational processes — planning, on-call coverage, incident response, and metrics review — building hands-on reliability engineering fundamentals.
Automate and improve operational workflows: Identify and execute automation opportunities that reduce manual toil, improve system efficiency, and strengthen platform reliability.
Collaborate with development teams: Partner with engineering teams to improve service reliability, support platform management, and contribute to capacity planning discussions.
Solve problems with clear solutions: Work under guidance from senior SREs and your manager to prioritize and execute high-value tasks that deliver measurable quality improvements for customers and stakeholders.
