The opportunity
We are looking for a structured and proactive Team Manager to join our Mechanical Design organization within R&D. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Department and help drive daily operations, team coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives across a large and growing organization.
The team consists of approximately 40 colleagues, including both employees and consultants, working with mechanical design and product development. As the organization continues to grow, we are looking for someone who can create structure, improve ways of working, and ensure the team has the right conditions to succeed.
This is not a traditional people management role with direct personnel responsibility. Instead, it is a highly collaborative role where you will act as a leader through influence, coordination, and project management. You will work closely with engineers, project teams, and stakeholders, helping the organization operate efficiently while supporting continuous development of processes and routines.
If you enjoy building effective ways of working, driving improvements, and motivating people to achieve common goals, this could be the right opportunity for you.
How you'll make an impact
- Support the Head of Department in daily operations and organizational activities
- Coordinate activities across a large mechanical design organization consisting of employees and consultants
- Drive process development and continuous improvement initiatives
- Create and implement routines, structures, and working methods that improve efficiency and collaboration
- Follow up on resource planning, team activities, and administrative processes such as time reporting
- Lead and coordinate projects and improvement initiatives within the organization
- Act as a key point of contact between different stakeholders and functions
- Support the team in setting priorities and creating clarity in a dynamic environment
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative culture where individuals and teams can perform at their best
Your background
We believe you are a structured and organized person who enjoys creating order, driving improvements, and supporting others in achieving results.
You also bring:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or another relevant field, or equivalent work experience
- Experience from engineering, product development, mechanical design, or a similar technical environment
- Experience leading projects, improvement initiatives, or cross-functional activities
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
- A proactive mindset and the ability to turn ideas into actions
- Experience working with process development and continuous improvements
- The ability to influence and engage people without formal personnel responsibility
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with different stakeholders
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Swedish is considered an advantage.
More about you
You are a natural coordinator who enjoys bringing structure to complex situations. You are solution-oriented, service-minded, and comfortable taking ownership of activities from idea to implementation. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy helping teams and individuals perform at their best.
