Cyber Risk / Threat Analyst

Responsibilities

Peraton seeks a Cyber Risk/Threat Analyst to support Department of War Cyber Defense Command (DCDC) with defensive cyberspace operations and AI support.  

 

Location: Fort Meade, MD. 

 

In this role, you will conduct cyber risk assessments and threat intelligence analysis to support operational decision-making and improve situational awareness.

 

Tasks include: 

• Perform operational risk characterization for DoWIN
• Analyze cyber threats and intelligence feeds
• Conduct ASOM analysis on cyber topics
• Produce threat assessments and recommendations
• Correlating events with external intelligence
• Support cybersecurity readiness assessments

Qualifications

 Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.  Will consider Associate with +14 or HS +16 years of experience
• Experience in cyber threat intelligence
• Knowledge of threat frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK)
• Risk assessment methodologies
• Strong analytical and research skills
• Understanding of DoWIN architecture
• U.S. Citizenship required
• TS clearance with ability to obtain/maintain SCI

 Preferred Qualifications:

• GIAC certifications and/or respective SANS course is preferred. For example, GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst Certification (SANS course SEC503), GIAC Open Source Intelligence Certification (SEC497), GIAC Security Operations Certified (SEC450), GIAC Continuous Monitoring Certification (SEC511), GIAC Strategic OSINT Analyst (SEC587), GIAC Machine Learning Engineer (SEC595)
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Intelligence, or related field
• 5-8 years specific experience

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
