Role summary:The Senior Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance, ensures the safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities through routine preventive maintenance and timely repairs. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing major and minor repairs, and overseeing less-experienced associates. The position requires managing maintenance schedules, coordinating contractors, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The Senior Technician also delivers hands-on training, supports continuous improvement, and fosters collaboration to meet business needs while upholding company values and quality standards across all maintenance operations.

What you'll do:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and fixtures to ensure safety and functionality.
- Inspect, diagnose, and document wear, damage, and repair needs using blueprints and manuals.
- Lead and oversee work of less-experienced associates, providing hands-on training and guidance.
- Manage maintenance schedules, work orders, parts inventory, and contractor coordination to meet quality and safety standards.
- Operate heavy machinery and company vehicles following safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
- Compile and report budget and expense information, including warranty claims and purchase records.
- Promote adherence to company policies, safety regulations, and ethical standards.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience performing preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and fixtures using multiple craft skills such as plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- Ability to diagnose issues using blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs, and to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards, ensuring compliance in all maintenance activities.
- Experience managing work orders, maintenance schedules, parts inventory, and contractor relationships to support operational efficiency.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in training, mentoring, and overseeing less-experienced associates and coordinating team efforts.
- Capability to operate and inspect heavy machinery and company vehicles in accordance with safety and company policies.

The hourly wage range for this position is $33.00 - $63.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Vocational or technical certification and 3 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.Option 2: 6 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
