Job Summary
• This role is responsible for managing a diverse team supporting large and complex business units or finance functions. The role is accountable for large multi-department area(s) or location(s) with significant impact on business unit results and organizational strategy. The role serves as a key advisor to senior management, analyzing financial results, and providing strategic recommendations. The role collaborates with the leadership as a strategic partner and also drives talent management activities.

Responsibilities

1. Leading the Services Business

  • Responsible for the success of the business across a range of services, solutions, or part of the portfolio, product family, or functional segment. Defines strategies and business plans to support business goals and initiatives through profitable revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Leads and monitors business performance indicators for services (e.g., forecast, revenue achievement, profitability, TCV2Rev, SnI). Builds action and recovery plans for exceptional situations.
  • Identifies and drives process improvements for delivery and operations teams for services; also ensures individual and team productivity to improve overall business effectiveness.
  • Develops and maintains beneficial relationships with global product / services development teams, partner alliances, functional and service support teams, regional business development managers, sales, and delivery teams.
  • Delegates responsibilities, determines strategy, provides guidance, and removes obstacles to enable the team to fulfill its duties and achieve objectives.
  • Creates a work environment that fosters individual development, outstanding performance, while remaining challenging and rewarding.
  • Manages all aspects of the service lifecycle at the product line level.
  • Drives change across multiple processes / services.
  • Activities may involve partners/customers, multi-regional roles, diverse disciplines, complex requirements, and aggressive deadlines.
  • Engages with internal and external partners/customers at a strategic level.
  • Ensures accurate Revenue Forecast and Governance for the MS businesses.
  • Accountable for achieving business results (typically ≥ $400M revenue/year System level).
  • Accountable for achieving MS businesses profitability results for services and solutions (25% GM).
  • Responsible for the business management and operational control of the MS businesses.

2. Leading and Managing Personnel

  • Communicating and aligning business strategies, priorities, and metrics.
  • Acts as the point of contact for team-related issues and solutions.
  • Ensuring employees receive the necessary training to fulfill responsibilities.
  • Resolving employee issues.
  • Developing and implementing the hiring plan.
  • Integrating new team members.
  • Applying HP values, adhering to workplace standards and business conduct guidelines.
  • Responsible for achieving workforce diversity and other HR objectives.

3. Implementing HP Performance Process at the Workplace

  • Setting objectives and performance indicators for employees.
  • Conducting performance evaluations.
  • Monitoring and providing feedback – continuous coaching and recognition.
  • Ensuring employees follow development plans.
  • Facilitating career discussions with employees.
  • Recognizing employee achievements.
  • Participating in salary administration, ensuring fairness, budget constraints, benefits and reward packages, and short- and long-term requirements.
  • Communicating decisions regarding hierarchy and salaries to employees.
  • Strict adherence to confidentiality rules.

4. Developing and Managing Teams

  • Defining objectives, roles, responsibilities, goals, and team parameters.
  • Communicating with and training team members.
  • Maintaining commitment to a shared vision and values.
  • Promoting collaboration and removing obstacles to effective teamwork.
  • Rewarding significant team achievements.
  • Leading regular and effective team meetings.

Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 10+ years of job-related experience or 8-10 years of management experience, preferably in financial management, internal audit, accounting, or a related field.
