Job Summary
The Transfer Advisor provides academic advising to all prospective and incoming transfer students. More specifically, they aid in recruitment efforts, transition to Salisbury University, selection of courses, registration of classes, connection to campus resources, and retention efforts. This includes work with student support initiatives and outreach.
Authority and Accountability
This position would not have any supervisory or budgetary responsibilities.
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with 1 - 3 years' experience in academic advising, student affairs, or related area
- Detail oriented with excellent customer service, organization and planning, prioritization, problem solving, follow through, time management, and oral and written communication skills.
- Flexible with the ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously, work well under pressure, and work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Higher Education, College Student Development, Counseling or related field
- Experience with PeopleSoft, EAB Student Success Collaborative, and College Scheduler.
