Software Leader-DXR
As a Software Leader for DXR, you are responsible for leading the end-to-end Software R&D organization, driving the strategy, development, and delivery of innovative DXR products and AI-enabled solutions that create differentiated customer value and business impact.
Champion the transformation toward Software Defined Systems and an AI-first engineering culture by advancing modern software engineering practices, Agile execution, platform-based development, and intelligent automation to accelerate innovation, quality, and delivery excellence.
Build and develop high-performing global teams, foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement, and partner with business, product, and cross-functional leaders to deliver scalable, secure, and customer-centric solutions aligned with strategic priorities and evolving market needs.
Your Role:
Software Engineering Leadership: Lead and inspire global software engineering teams across front-end, back-end, platform, and systems development, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and customer-centric solutions.
Software Delivery & Releases: Own end-to-end software delivery, enabling timely releases of clinical features, service updates, and third-party software integrations while maintaining excellence in quality, reliability, and compliance.
Software Platform Transformation: Drive the evolution toward Software Defined Systems, creating common platforms and reusable capabilities that accelerate innovation, differentiate products, and unlock new business opportunities.
AI Strategy & Adoption: Define and execute the AI vision, strategy, and technical foundation for R&D, accelerating AI integration across products, engineering processes, and organizational workflows while fostering an AI-first culture.
Technology & Platform Roadmap: Establish and maintain the software technology, architecture, and competency roadmap, ensuring alignment with business priorities and long-term portfolio growth across Fixed Radiography, Fluoroscopy, and Mobile DXR systems.
Engineering Excellence: Champion best-in-class software engineering practices, leveraging Agile, Lean, DevOps, automation, and continuous improvement to enhance quality, predictability, and development efficiency.
Product & Portfolio Execution: Lead software roadmaps for both new product introductions and sustaining engineering, balancing customer value, quality, speed, cost, and business objectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product Management, Systems Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, Service, and other stakeholders across global locations to drive execution and achieve business outcomes.
People & Organizational Leadership: Build, develop, and retain diverse, high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Operational & Financial Management: Oversee resource planning, budget management, workforce planning, and organizational performance to ensure effective execution of strategic priorities.
Quality, Security & Compliance: Ensure adherence to software development processes and all applicable legal, quality, cybersecurity, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
Innovation & Industry Leadership: Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and industry trends, leveraging internal and external partnerships to strengthen engineering capabilities and drive operational excellence.
You are fit if:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. An MBA or equivalent business/leadership qualification is an advantage.
- Leadership Experience: 15+ years of progressive experience in software engineering and R&D, including significant experience leading large, globally distributed software organizations in a complex product environment.
- Transformation Leadership: Demonstrated success in transforming software organizations to improve quality, speed, predictability, productivity, and development efficiency through modern engineering practices, automation, infrastructure modernization, and new ways of working.
- AI & Engineering Excellence: Strong understanding of the evolving software engineering landscape, with demonstrated ability to leverage AI, automation, DevOps and data-driven engineering practices to transform the software development lifecycle and accelerate innovation.
- Customer & Business Orientation: Strong customer-centric and business mindset, with the ability to translate customer needs, clinical workflows, technology trends, and business strategy into software priorities and differentiated product capabilities.
- Platform & Architecture Mindset: Experience driving platform-based software development, modular architecture, reuse, scalability, and lifecycle management across multiple products and business roadmaps.
- Execution & Operational Excellence: Strong operational and analytical mindset with the ability to establish meaningful software KPIs, use data to drive decisions, and ensure high-quality, predictable delivery across complex global programs.
- Influence & Stakeholder Leadership: Strong executive presence and influencing skills, with demonstrated ability to challenge, align, and gain commitment from senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders across R&D, Product, Quality & Regulatory, Marketing, Service, and other functions.
- Complex Problem Solving: A solutions-oriented leader who can navigate ambiguity, simplify complex problems, evaluate alternatives and trade-offs, and make sound decisions balancing customer value, quality, speed, cost, risk, and long-term sustainability.
- People & Culture Leadership: Proven ability to build high-performing global teams, develop leaders and technical talent, foster accountability and collaboration, and create a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and ownership.
- Healthcare/Regulated Environment: Experience in healthcare, medical devices, or another safety-critical and regulated industry is strongly preferred, with an understanding of software quality, compliance, cybersecurity, and product lifecycle expectations.
- Global Collaboration: Comfortable operating across cultures, geographies, and organizational boundaries, with willingness to travel internationally as required

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
This role is an office-based role.
