Labcorp is seeking an Intern-Assistant Scientist (Large Molecule) to join our team at Shanghai, China.
Internship Details:
- Duration: 20 weeks, full-time/Onsite
- Dates of Internship: Nov 2026 – May 2027
- Compensation: Paid internship
- Eligibility: Final-year students who are expected to graduate in July 2027 are preferred.
However, students at all academic levels who are pursuing relevant fields of study are encouraged to apply.
About Team:
Our bioanalytical laboratory network encompasses three core platforms: Large Molecule, Small Molecule, and Immunology & Immunotoxicology. We provide comprehensive bioanalytical support throughout the drug development lifecycle, spanning early discovery, preclinical and clinical PK/PD studies, biomarker analysis, immunogenicity assessment, and regulatory submissions worldwide.
Accredited under OECD GLP, FDA GLP, and NMPA GLP standards, we deliver high-quality, scientifically robust, and regulatory-compliant data to support critical development decisions. By combining scientific expertise, innovative technologies, and global operational excellence, we help biopharmaceutical partners advance therapies efficiently and successfully through every stage of development.
Internship Assignment Summary:
- Performs basic laboratory analyses under supervision and supports routine bioanalytical activities in compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
- Performs routine sample preparation and analysis in accordance with approved methods, protocols, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
- Support sample receipt, labeling, storage, and tracking activities as assigned.
- Perform basic laboratory tasks under supervision, including reagent preparation and equipment setup.
- Operate standard laboratory equipment (e.g., pipettes, balances, centrifuges) after appropriate training and under guidance.
- Accurately document laboratory activities, observations, and test results in accordance with applicable documentation practices.
- Assist with data entry, record organization, and basic data verification activities.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness and organization in compliance with safety and EHS requirements.
- Participate in laboratory training programs and actively develop technical knowledge and laboratory skills.
- Assist senior staff with routine project-related activities and administrative tasks as needed.
- Communicate any observed issues, unusual results, or safety concerns to the supervisor or designated mentor.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and team activities as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in a Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Analytical Chemistry, Life Sciences Bachelor or Master’s degree program.
- 3 months or more experience using computer and office software applications (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of laboratory techniques and workflows
- Familiarity with standard laboratory equipment and practices
- Exposure to regulated laboratory environments (GLP/GCP/GCLP) is a plus
- Good attention to detail and data accuracy awareness
